CM planted a mango sapling

Sapling was presented by children on World Childrens Day

A "plant bank" will be made of the saplings received by CM Shri Chouhan in gift

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that people are becoming more active regarding plantation. During his stay at different places in the state, he is getting large number of saplings as gift. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a "plant bank" would be made of these saplings received in gift and they would be planted at suitable places. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said this on the occasion of plantation in Smart Garden.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan today planted saplings of Kesia-Semia, Karanj and Mango in Smart Garden. On the occasion of World Children's Day, a mango sapling was presented by the children to Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. Smt. Baljit Saluja, Smt. Prarthana Mishra and Sushri Apoorva Shandilya of Bhopal's Sangini Sanstha also participated in plantation. In order to encourage public participation in the activities of environmental protection, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan does tree plantation every day with social organisations, voluntary organisations and people active in this direction at the individual level.

Sangini Sanstha runs training programmes on women empowerment along with environmental protection activities with government departments and school-colleges teachers. The organisation is active in campaigning against violence towards women, free legal advice for the victim women, sanitation, reducing the use of plastic, skill development of domestic workers by forming groups and linking them with employment. The organisation conducted various activities related to awareness and necessary support in the first and second wave of Corona.

Karanj is considered important in Ayurvedic medicine. Karanj is also used in religious works. Kesia-Semia is also useful from environmental and Ayurveda point of view.
