The government of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is vigorously engaged in the efforts to create New Madhya Pradesh. It is constantly engaged in trying to give a new look to Madhya Pradesh. Under this campaign, the names of some places are also being changed. Now the name of Nasrulganj has been changed to Bhaironda.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that today the name of Nasrullaganj has been changed to Bhairunda. Describing the old name as a historical injustice, he said that our glory has been restored after the name change. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah for the historical transformation of the city.

On Sunday, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan announced the renaming of Nasrullaganj to Bhairunda in the midst of a huge public gathering on the city's Gaurav Diwas. Along with changing the name of Nasrullaganj to Bhairunda with a single click, he handed over the gazette notification to MP Shri Ramakant Bhargava and Chairman Municipal Council Shri Maruti Shishir. The citizens expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for fulfilling their age-old demand and returning the glory again. The enthusiasm of the citizens present in thousands was worth seeing. Fireworks were also done on this occasion.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gifted many construction and development works worth more than 80 crore 94 lakhs to the city on Gaurav Diwas. These works include bhoomi-pujan of 16 construction works costing Rs. 76 crore 25 lakh 51 thousand and dedication of two construction works worth Rs. 4 crore 68 lakh 50 thousand. CM Shri Chouhan also announced Rs. 100 crore for the development of Bhairunda Nagar.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that today innumerable works of irrigation, roads, electricity, education etc. have been done in the entire area. A national highway will now be built from Bhairunda at a cost of Rs. 350 crore, which will also connect Khategaon, Badnagar and Itarsi. He announced to connect more than two dozen villages of Bhairunda with the Seep Amber Lift Irrigation Scheme. Along with this, approval was also given for the construction of barrage in about a dozen villages.

Describing Ladli Bahna Yojana as the best scheme of his tenure, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that this scheme is a scheme for prosperity in poor families as well as empowerment of sisters, boosting their respect and making them self-dependent. He called upon all the eligible sisters to apply at the camp without paying anything.

The Chief Minister said that CM Rise School will become a medium of quality education to the children of the poor families of the village. He said that the state government is bearing the cost of education of girls under Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Now Hindi speaking children will also be able to undertake medical and engineering education in the state and will be able to build their future. He also announced setting-up of a skill park at Bhairunda. The Chief Minister said that apart from recruitment in government jobs, providing employment through self-employment schemes, the Mukhya Mantri Yuva Kaushal Kamai Yojana will also be implemented from June. Youths who learn work under the scheme will also get Rs. 8,000.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that in order to discourage consumption of liquor in the state, all the ahatas have been closed. The society will also have to adopt a positive attitude in this direction. Member of Parliament Shri Ramakant Bhargava expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for restoring the glory of Bhairunda. An exhibition was organised on more than 40 departmental activities and achievements on Gaurav Diwas. The Chief Minister also honoured the personalities of the city. Local public representatives, representatives of various social organisations and a large number of citizens were present in the programme.
